Kay – Founder of Courageous Education
International educator and harm-reducing education specialist.

I’m Kay, founder of Courageous Education.

After 20 years working as a teacher, safeguarding lead, and in school leadership in the UK, Japan, Europe, and Australia, I saw a growing gap between the realities young people face online and the reliable guidance available to support them.

I founded Courageous Education to address this gap.

I support schools, families, and organisations to appropriately respond to harms such as online pornography, misogyny, grooming, coercion, harmful online communities and AI and chatbot-driven abuse through the research-informed, harm-reducing education.

My work focuses on empowering caregivers and educators to respond with clarity, confidence, and care in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

I hold a Master’s degree in International Education, with research focused on the impact of online explicit sexual content on young people’s attitudes towards sex, gender, relationships and behaviours.

My research has been cited in the New South Wales parliamentary enquiry into harmful online content and its impact on young people.
